Website Solutions - the four stages
To start off, one needs to understand the four stages of website production and maintenance.1. Domain Name Registration
Cost: US $15 per year upwards (cost will include our admin fee to maintain the renewal of your domain by the registrar on your behalf).Purchase your URL www.yourname.com as long as it's available. Also available: .net, .org, .biz, .info, .lk, and so on.
2. Web Hosting
Cost: {varies on your website requirements; we'll quote you once we better understand your (potential) website}Your website is held on a certain amount of online server space, which must be rented. Charges may vary depending on requirements. Includes email addresses @yourname.com.
3. Web Design
Cost: Setup Charge only (flat fee).Essentially creating the entire website or system. Includes: Requirements Analysis, Concept, Design, Development & Setup.
4. Web Maintenance
Cost: {depending on our agreement with you; we may quote for one-off major upgrades as a mini-project, or we may enter a maintainence agreement}After go-live, your website will eventually need changes which may be small text updates to major design or functionality changes. When a requirement comes up, we'll quote you for it if it's a one-off change. Alternatively we'll maintain timesheets of the work we do for you if this work is regular. Either way, we'll make sure that a fair agreement is made so that work continues to be undertaken professionally, at a fair price.
